Although people may not want to acknowledge this, horse riding is one of the most
Here at the Giggling Pony we pride ourselves with our safety record, having only had a few minor injuries during our 10 years of operation. We both hold current first aid certificates and we endeavour to minimise any risk involved wherever we can.
We ensure our worker to client ratio is high and often have as many workers as riders during the holiday season in order to maintain safe practice. However, horses aren't machines and may react to some unforseen circumstance, so horse riding always has an element of risk involved.
We ask that your contact details, taken at the time of booking, are ones that could be used if an emergency does arrive. We provide well checked, modern helmets and safety (bucket) stirrups for all riders and all children are to wear safety helmets AT ALL TIMES when around the horses. We also have a ten minute safety briefing at the beginning of every holiday programme session.
